The plain coloured side of the bracelet can show signs of wear so it is best that its not worn at all times, or to be worn with perfume, creams or around water. The patterned side of the bracelet is more robust so the colour will not fade as would the plain coloured side.
For all my jewellery I would advise that in order for your item to keep their shine and brilliance that all jewellery be kept away from chemicals, chlorine, salt water, perfumes and even too much sun exposure for the natural crystals as that too can cause the beads to loose their colour.
For elasticated bracelets it is advised that bracelets be rolled on and off the wrist instead of stretched, as over time stretching the elastic can cause the bracelet to loose its shape.
